“The Penny Traveler” is a blog source for college students who love to travel, or aspire to do so during their college career. I decided to blog about traveling because I’ve been fortunate enough to take part in some unique travel experiences since starting college at Arizona State University‘s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication two years ago.
This past spring, I was accepted into the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. For four months, I got the chance to live in Florida and operate Dinosaur, a ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
I was fortunate enough to find a travel experience working for an international company like Disney, where I was able to learn the behind-the-scenes operations that make a multi-billion dollar company come to life. Most importantly, I learned that it’s a big world after all, and I intend to explore every corner of it.
I encountered a lot of questions myself in trying to find the right travel program, and I want to make sure others like me have a place to find the important answers.
